Growing, Growing... Gone.

Damon Arland

My sweet baby. He is growing too fast and I feel robbed. I can't tell you how many times I catch myself telling Rich how hard it is to "blah, blah, blah (whatever it is that I did that day)" with a two-year old and a "newborn"... and then I hear myself and realize that I've just called Damon a "newborn" again!

So, I'm obviously in denial.

There's no skirting around the fact that his "newborn" days are G - O - N - E, gone. *sigh*

And yes, I miss them.

Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that he actually slept when he was a newborn. We've been regressing in that department... in severe lack of that precious commodity these days.

Here's some pictures of my sweet, sleepless, growing babe. ;)

Crazy

This one is crazy.

Sometimes (often) Dominic spazzes out. He makes this face and closes his eyes and kind of rolls them in the back of his head while flexing every muscle in his neck and tensing his whole body... with a goofy-looking grin on his face. Haha!

Just something silly about him that I want to remember. ;)

Zoo Fun

Well... this post is a couple of weeks old by now! Time is flying and babes are growing and there's so much to include in such a short amount of time. Both cherubs are napping right now, and the dishes are sitting in my sink... and there they'll stay. Because memories are important. Right?

Anyway, we have such awesome friends. I LOVE Amy and Brian and Camden. Even though we moved clear across the city (like, an hour away) these guys still make such an effort to maintain our friendship. So sad that we don't still live nearby.

Amy, thanks so much for being such a wonderful friend! We are so lucky to be a part of your lives. And thanks for getting me to take both boys to the zoo. It really wasn't as stressful as I thought it would be, and the boys had a great time! I can't wait to do it again soon!

Here's the photoshoot!

Camden and Dom, in Cam's cool new ride...

Damon...just happy to be out of the house.

I love this picture. It just shows what a little scaredy-cat Dom is.

He'd lean over just enough to barely touch the goat... only using one foot,

and then dash away.

Isn't Cam soo stinkin' cute!?
Love his hat. Love him.

Dom, being a big boy and pulling himself cautiously up the ramp to the treehouse at the zoo.

And down the slide... feet first!
He usually goes down on his belly, backward... just to be safe. ;)
But now, he's on to bigger and better (and braver) things.
